Business Development Manager

Responsibilities
As the Business Development Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for:
- Expanding the company’s air and ocean freight services within an assigned territory to meet corporate objectives, including gross profit targets.
- Acting as the primary sales contact for prospects and the account manager for assigned customer regions, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
- Identifying and developing qualified leads through cold calling, converting them into prospects and long-term customers.
- Maintaining a robust sales pipeline with deals at various stages, including new leads, mid-stage prospects, and late-stage targets.
- Presenting the company’s logistics services effectively to prospects and clients.
- Conducting daily visits to prospects and customers as directed by management to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Building strong relationships at all levels and professionally representing the company, including delivering impactful presentations.
- Preparing and submitting accurate, timely sales reports.
- Maintaining an updated CRM system, recording detailed information on prospects during sales interactions.
- Meeting annual growth goals for gross profit and shipment volume as outlined in the sales plan.
- Participating in entertainment and promotional activities with clients in compliance with corporate policies.
- Performing additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Sales or related logistics fields.
- Expertise in air and ocean freight logistics, including both import and export operations.
- Proficiency in client prospecting techniques and business development strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Demonstrated sales acumen with persuasive and results-driven capabilities.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and focused on achieving goals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A willingness to learn and grow professionally within the role.
