New Rail Blockade Near Tyendinaga

OEC has been notified a new blockade was setup in Tyendinaga, close to Belleville. This is the same location where a blockade stood for 15 days before it being dismantled by OPP earlier this week.

The protestors lit a fire on the tracks and piled on used tyres. The fire has been extinguished, however CN must now inspect the tracks for damages.

OEC is monitoring this blockade closely as it’s on the main CN line between Toronto and Montreal.
