Port of Montreal Checkers Union to Strike on Friday, July 31

Please be advised that the Maritime Employers Association has received a strike notice from the Executive Committee of the Port of Montreal’s Checkers’ Union.
The strike will begin on Friday, July 31st at 5:59 am and end on Saturday, August 1st at 5:59 pm.

All terminals will be affected except for liquid bulk handling, the Oceanex service (Bickerdike Terminal) and the grain terminal (Viterra). OEC is continually monitoring the situation and will share more details information as soon as it becomes available.
