CMA CGM cites ‘internal IT infrastructure issue’ as sites go down

CMA CGM has become the latest global carrier to be hit hard by IT issues with clients waking up this morning to find many of the brand’s global sites down.

In a note sent to clients in Australia, seen by Splash, CMA CGM and its local subsidiary ANL said some of its IT applications are unavailable today due to what the group described as an “internal IT infrastructure issue”. Read more here.


Transpacific rates bull run takes a breath as Golden Week holiday looms

Container spot rates on the transpacific eased back this week, suggesting the bull run on the trade may be ending.

Today’s final publication of the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) before the Chinese Golden Week holiday recorded an $11 decrease for rates to the US west coast, to $3,856 per 40ft, and down $9, to $4,625, to the east coast. Read more here.
